Versus Mode: Xbox Series X tested—4K, 120 FPS
We recently unpacked the Microsoft Xbox Series X 1TB console, eager to testing its capabilities. The sleek design and included wireless controller immediately impressed us. Booting up the system, we noticed the standout features: backward compatibility with thousands of older games, a refined performance, and the promise of true 4K gaming up to 120 FPS. Loading a title, we were impressed by the nearly seamless gameplay, crisp visuals, and smooth frame rates. However, we did miss a few exclusive titles we’d hoped would leverage the hardware fully. The included HDMI cable was perfectly adequate, but we’d recommend a premium one for the best 4K experience. Overall, the Series X delivers on its promises, though we wish it had more out-of-the-box exclusives to showcase its prowess.
