  1. “this little risser⁤ is​ great… it allowed⁤ me to add​ in 4 m.2 nvme SSDs ⁣into a ⁤tiny little 4hdd bay itx⁤ appliance I build, the⁢ system already⁢ has a nvme on the motherboard ⁤and 4 3.5in hdds all inside of a super small (about the size of a Silverstone sugo ⁣sg13 but smaller and takes a flex atx psu)⁤ at the ⁣end of the day I⁤ was only using the 16x pcie 4.0 lanes for a single pcie 3.0 nvme on a basic ⁣riser which was a‍ complete waste, so after ‍some tinkering I figured out ⁤how to⁣ enable 4x4x4x4 pcie bifurcation(with the help of a custem‌ uefi​ that also integrates a open-source fix to⁤ the ‍logo exploit‍ issue ⁤becase I need csm⁤ to be disabled for my purposes ⁢so legacy ​boot was out of the question​ so I basicly had to patch out a new exploit in the ⁣uefi Driver stack…ya …fun…lol) on my b550 itx motherboard and poped in a 5650GE and 32gb of ecc memory(unbufered) … and though to my self…”hmm how can u utilize these basicly 3 unused pcie x4 trees” and boom it hit me, a risser, I no longer ‌”need”​ one with an onboard pch⁢ to to bifurcate ⁣the 16 lanes becase that is now handled by the board and cpu…but I ⁤absolutely could not ‌fix a big tall m.2 4 x4 risser into that case as ⁢there ​is a support bar right above the pcie‍ slot and actualy no external ⁢pci slots becase this case wasn’t intended to use‌ a pcie device at all so ‍I had to get creative, so this extension comes into play…it is Short,⁢ very short… infact just long enough to bend my pcie slot around ⁣this support bar and not to long to have a massive fold on wires blocking off my measly 30mm tall cpu cooler lol… now my pcie ⁣slot is above that bar and has a ⁢4x m.2 4.0 risser ⁢plugged⁤ into it and ⁤mount with⁢ non conductive vhb adhesive ⁤to the‌ flat part of the psu‍ that is right above it, so I can mount and unmount 4 nvme ssds anytime without rebuilding and now ⁣my server has ‍a 4tb pcie 4.0 nvme ssd lvm​ cache targets for ⁣every one of the 18tb dual actuator seagate HDDs in this mind blowingly dense powerfull….samba​ server…lmfao…yes I sead samba… deal with it… lol…all kidding aside I don’t just use it for samba but I’m still learning the ins and outs of how to securely instatiate a iscsi device ⁢and how to get all the speed benefits of NFS but with the user access controls of​ samba and about​ a million other⁤ linux things lol… but as far as hardware goes I’m all set for a while lol”

Anders wäre es nur in einem viel zu großen Gehäuse möglich gewesen, das hier ist billiger und eleganter. ‌Lasst euch nicht⁤ von vermeintlich ‘zertifizierten ​20 cm’-Risern für über 50€ täuschen. Diese funktionieren auch nur mit Glück, da die Gesetze der Physik eine Impedanz annähernd proportional zur ⁣Länge vorsehen.Positiv: Das Produkt‍ ist sehr ​elastisch und biegsam und kann somit nahezu jede annähernd⁤ parallele⁤ Form annehmen ohne kaputt zu gehen (jedoch nicht oft hin- und her-biegen um Materialermüdung⁤ zu vermeiden).Negativ: Könnte ein wenig​ billiger sein bei‍ der Länge, aber‍ noch im Rahmen.Achtung: Der Riser taugt nur um die ⁤Karte aufzurichten oder im Slot ⁣nebenan zu befestigen (ausreichend‌ Platz sollte‍ vorhanden sein,⁣ ansonsten muss ⁢die Karte Low-Profile sein oder höher befestigt ⁤werden mit Abstandshaltern)! Aufgrund der Länge von nur 5 cm ist er zumeist ungeeignet um eine Grafikkarte im ersten PCIe-Slot aufzurichten, ohne dass diese​ mit‍ dem CPU-Luftstrom und/oder Kühler kollidiert. Für diesen Zweck längere Riser verwenden oder mit PCIe 4.0-Karte als Notbehelf die x8-Anbindung verwenden im (hoffentlich) dritten und‍ damit zweiten Volllänge-Slot.”
